Kevin Donald Newbigging from Listowel passed away on Saturday, December 23rd, 2017, at the age of 58 years.

He was the husband of Julie (Coghlin) Newbigging and a proud father to Colin and Julie Newbigging of Drayton, Cory Newbigging and Tom Slattery from Dublin, Ireland, as well as Abbey Newbigging of Listowel. He also loved being a grandfather to Lily and Carson.

Kevin was the son of Louise Newbigging of Listowel and the late Ken Newbigging (2000).

He leaves behind siblings Lynda and Brian Schaefer from Listowel, Judy and John Coghlin, Terry and Elizabeth Newbigging all from Rosseau, Jill and Robert Sadler from Wiarton, John Newbigging and Tammy Machan from Monkton, Kirk and Gail Newbigging in Calgary, Alberta, Kim and Sheila Newbigging from Milverton, along with Jeff and Joyce Newbigging of Listowel.

He will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Jewell Coghlin as well as the late Neil Coghlin. Their family includes Mary Ann and Larry Binning of Thamesford, Stephen and Linda Coghlin of Jordan, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Michael; nephew Marty; niece Tammie Curran; sister-in-law Debra Newbigging; and brother-in-law Scott Coghlin.

Kevin had a deep love for his children and grandchildren. He cherished friendships with many people around him. An avid hockey fan who enjoyed the outdoors greatly, he loved fishing trips in Algonquin Park with friends. Mowing lawns or clearing snow while helping out his mom or neighbors brought him happiness. His dog Dot will miss their daily walks together.

A visitation will take place at Eaton Funeral Home in Listowel on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p. m. and again from 7:00 to 9:00 p. m., followed by a private family service on Saturday.

Interment will occur at Fairview Cemetery in Listowel.

If desired, memorial donations can be made to North Perth Sports for Kids (payable to Stratford Perth Community Foundation) or a charity you prefer would be appreciated.
