Patricia Ann Horwath (née Nantais) passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Peoplecare Oakcrossing Nursing Home in London, Ontario, surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old.
She was the loving wife of the late John D. Horwath and a devoted mother to Leslie (Patti) Horwath of London and Jennifer Horwath (Dave White) of Hamilton.
Pat was also a step-grandma to Adam (Stephanie) and Nate (Alicia), as well as a step great-grandma to Spencer, Bradley, and Jazlyn. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her siblings Gordon (Anita), Geraldine, Dorothy (Bill), Eleanor (Mel), Gail, and her cherished dog Sheba.
Pat enjoyed crosswords, cryptograms, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and artistic activities like coloring and painting. She loved classic movies and could answer any Silver Screen edition Trivial Pursuit question with ease thanks to her sharp memory. Though she was quiet most times, Pat had a quick wit that often surprised those around her.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the wonderful staff at Oakcrossing LTC in London for their compassionate care of Mom.
Cremation has occurred. Friends are invited for visitation at Windsor Chapel Banwell Chapel located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. in Windsor on Friday August 8 from 10:00am until the service starts at 11:00am. A private burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Windsor, Ontario.
In her gentle spirit and deep love for family, Pat leaves behind memories that will always be cherished by those who knew her.
