John David Robert Ferguson unexpectedly passed away at the age of 28 on July 20, 2018, in Columbus, OH. He was born on January 13, 1990, in Charlottesville, VA. John was a loving son to Nancy Ferguson (Bob Ciocan) of Winston Salem, NC, and Dr. Robert Ferguson (Jenny) of Cleveland, OH. He was also the brother and best friend for 26 years to Daniel Lloyd Donald Ferguson of Winston Salem, NC. John was predeceased by his devoted grandparents: Robert Lloyd and Francoise (Cousineau) Mc Caig from Ottawa Ontario and Dr. Donald and Lucille (Genier) Ferguson from Gatineau Quebec. He also lost uncles Robert J. Dolan and David K. Mc Caig along with his step-grandparents John Dale Anderson and Charlotte Rodway. Throughout his life, John lived in Memphis TN, Kingston Ontario Canada, Winston Salem NC, State College PA, Asheville NC and Columbus OH. After graduating from FCDS he went on to attend Schreyer’s Honors College PSU (Engineering) and OSU Columbus (Pharmacology, Business). Theme parks were a favorite too along with festivals such as MTG gaming events or holidays spent at the cottage in Canada or trips to Pompano Beach and Whistler BC. John embraced life wholeheartedly; his endless curiosity for knowledge along with understanding the universe played vital roles for him alongside nurturing relationships that mattered most to him. His dedication to family while cherishing friends globally leaves many feeling heartbroken over his loss.
