With great sadness, we share the news of Norman Joseph Girard Isherwood’s passing on August 7, 2026. Born in Windsor, Ontario, on November 24, 1961, he was the beloved son of the late Edward and Irene Isherwood.
Norman didn’t say much, but his actions spoke louder than words. Always ready to help others, he was a rock for those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His sense of humor warmed many hearts, and his love for his family knew no bounds.
He enjoyed 31 beautiful years with his wife, Rosalba Isherwood (nee Macaluso), whose companionship brought him happiness throughout their life together. Norman took immense pride in his two wonderful sons, Adam (Liz) and Matthew.
His educational path began with high school graduation and continued with studies in Law and Security at Trios. This set him up for a fulfilling career spanning three decades at Chrysler Windsor Assembly.
A passionate San Francisco 49ers fan, Norman loved the excitement of football and shared this passion with family and friends. He also enjoyed reading Stephen King novels that transported him into thrilling adventures. Garth Brooks’ music often played in his home, creating lasting memories. He took great pride in his 2018 Hellcat car which was well-known among loved ones.
Though he was preceded by his first wife, Myra Isherwood (nee Labbe), the kindness he showed lives on through his surviving family members. They will always hold onto fond memories along with everyone who had the joy of knowing him.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 10 am until the Funeral Service starts at noon at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Location (11677 Tecumseh Rd East, Windsor, ON). Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave, La Salle, ON).
The family kindly asks that instead of flowers, donations be made to Windsor Goodfellows-an organization that meant a lot to Norman.
Norman’s life was filled with love, laughter, and quiet strength. He’ll be missed deeply but remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
