The Peterborough Lakers clinched the U17 B Provincial Championship at the Ontario Lacrosse Festival in Whitby this weekend, wrapping up the tournament with a perfect 6-0 record.
“This is a group with an incredible amount of talent, and they showed just how much they are capable of when they play together,” said the Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association on Instagram. “The season wasn’t always easy. They faced some disheartening circumstances and moments that could have easily knocked them off course, but they stayed together, kept battling and continued to believe in one another.”
The championship game against Clarington ended 6-3 in favour of Peterborough.
“Congratulations to the players, coaches, team staff and families on an incredible season and a well-deserved championship.”
