MARSHALL, Joanne (nee Green)
June 20, 1946 – June 24, 2026
With great sadness, we share the news of Joanne Marshall (nee Green) passing away on June 24, 2026 at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family. She is now with her dear husband, Lee Pettit, with whom she spent 22 wonderful years filled with love and treasured memories. Joanne was a devoted mother to Kyle and Tera Marshall and mother-in-law to Rhonda. She was a caring grandmother to Ariel, Evan, Ian, Ashleigh, and Maygen. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Joanne is survived by her brother John, sister Penny, sister-in-law Anne, and brothers-in-law Lawrence and Scott. She is predeceased by her brother Tim Green and brother-in-law Marshall Pettit. Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Central Chapel) located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 12:30 p. m. until the Funeral Service begins at 1:30 p. m. Following Joanne’s wishes, cremation will occur afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Canada-a cause close to her heart after losing her husband to Lou Gehrig’s disease-or to the Alzheimer’s Society in their pursuit of finding a cure for Dementia. PS – please come dressed casually for this service; jeans and sandals are perfectly fine as Joe wouldn’t have wanted anyone “dressing up.” Just remember that her favorite color was green!
