It is with great sadness that we share the news of Hugh “Jim” James Clarkson’s passing. He has now joined his beloved wife, Linda, after 52 years together.

Jim will be greatly missed by his children, Doug Clarkson, Brandie (Martin) Brennan, and Dan (Samantha) Clarkson. He was a loving Papa to Connor, Grace, Logan, William, Abby, and Gabby.

He is fondly remembered by his sister, Diane Lanoue. He was predeceased by his brothers, Larry and Gary Clarkson, along with his parents, Daniel and Vera Clarkson. Jim will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, in-laws, friends and neighbors.

For 33 years, Jim devoted himself to educating young minds as an elementary school teacher with the Greater Essex County District School Board. He also took an active role in the community as a Boy Scout leader and coached with Windsor Central Little League.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus ICU for their caring support.

A visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519 253 7235) on Sunday September 14th, 2025 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. There will also be a visitation on Monday September 15th from 9am until the funeral service at 10am. Cremation will follow. Online condolences and treasured memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
