With sadness, we share the news of Guy Lanctot’s passing on June 6, 2026, just 9 days before his 64th birthday. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband to Susan (nee Yevremov) for more than 43 years. He was also a caring father to two daughters, Chantelle (who passed away in 1998) and Danielle. As a grandfather, he will be missed by Malakai (who passed away in 2015) and Blair. He is survived by his siblings Monique (Murry) Reid, Denise (Barry) Young, Jeannine (Ron) Codere, and Elaine Chauvin. Additionally, he had brothers-in-law Dennis Tucker, Lynn (Tom) Bannister, Paul Tucker (who passed away in 2012), and Walter (Brenda) Tucker. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his parents Andre (who passed away in 1962) Lanctot and Emilienne (who passed away in 2021) Lanctot (nee Lecours), as well as three brothers: Denis (who passed away in 1948) Lanctot, Denis (who passed away in 2025) (Bonnie) Lanctot and Marcel (who passed away in 2011) Lanctot.

Guy loved old cars and enjoyed playing pranks with school friends and family. Whenever someone needed help, Guy was always there. His generous heart matched his vast knowledge; he could do it all-mechanic work, contracting, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234) on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm and again from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11:30am with interment following at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.) The family welcomes everyone to join them for lunch at the Legion after the cemetery service. The Legion is located at 5030 Howard Ave., Oldcastle, On.-right across from the cemetery. In memory of Guy, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or the Brain Injury Association of Windsor and Essex County.
