In Loving Memory of Eduardo Gaudario
October 12, 1940 – August 4, 2025
It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Eduardo (Ed) Gaudario on August 4, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
For 57 wonderful years, Ed was a dedicated husband to Adelaida (Dely). Their marriage was built on strength, humor, and unwavering support. Together they created a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
As a proud father, Ed raised his children-Lourdes Brothers (Paul), Alex Gaudario (Kristal), and Manuel Gaudario (Stephanie)-with wisdom and patience. His greatest joy came from being “Lolo” to his six grandsons: Jared, Kyle, Nolan, Dylan, Jake and Ryan. They loved him for his cooking skills, passion for card games, sense of humor, and the countless stories that always ended in laughter.
He moved to Canada in 1974 with hopes of giving his family a better life-a dream he and Dely fulfilled beautifully. He is preceded in death by his sister Eulalia and parents Ciriaco and Felicisima. He leaves behind brothers Jose (Lydia), Norberto (Belen), Eliseo (Olympia), along with many nieces and nephews.
Ed lived life with humility and integrity while taking care of those he loved. Even during his illness, he showed incredible strength and grace while always thinking about others first. He welcomed everyone into his home with open arms and made sure they enjoyed traditional Filipino meals. Around the dining table, he proudly shared tales from growing up in the Philippines-like bowling a perfect game or winning at poker or mahjong-and even how he got asked to pinch run in senior baseball despite being the oldest player on the team.
He leaves behind a legacy full of love and quiet dignity that will be deeply missed by family members friends as well as everyone who had the privilege to know him. He remains forever in our hearts; his love continues within all of us.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, August 8th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and again from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd East in Windsor ON (519-253-7235). A funeral service will take place on Saturday August 9th at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish located at 462 Advance Blvd Lakeshore ON followed by burial immediately after mass at Ste. Anne Cemetery.
