Dr. Denis Jerome Page, affectionately called “Doc”, was born on December 23, 1949, and peacefully passed away on December 13, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Janis Page (Bessette), along with his dear daughter Jessica Bakic and son-in-law George Bakic. He was a proud and caring Papa to Stella, Michael, and Nikola Bakic, who filled his life with joy. His furry companion Baby will also miss him dearly.
Denis is survived by his siblings: Cathy Walling (the late Hugh), Kevin Page (Yvette), and Elise Daragon (Bob). He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Miriam Page and Ernie Page, as well as his brother Michael Page. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Donald Bessette (Trish) and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Denis attended the University of Toronto where he followed his passion for dentistry. For 40 years he practiced dentistry proudly, earning the nickname “Painless Page” from those he served. He cherished the memories made with the amazing staff who worked alongside him throughout his career.
Outside of work, Denis led an active lifestyle. He played hockey and baseball while serving as President of The Windsor Chiefs. Golfing was another love of his; he was a lifelong member at Beach Grove. Additionally, he enjoyed being part of The Windsor Sportsman’s Club and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255 where he formed lasting friendships.
In his final days, Denis found support in the friendship of Mike Klimkowski and Nereo Bagatto. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to both for their kindness in helping him with anything he needed during that time. Special thanks also go to Jessica from Hospice for her compassionate care that ensured Denis received what he truly deserved, as well as to all the Hospice staff for their continuous support. The family is especially grateful to Hailey, his palliative nurse for her outstanding care and warmth while Denis was at home.
Denis will always be remembered for his dedication to others, vibrant personality, love for life, and the deep impact he made on everyone lucky enough to know him. His spirit of kindness, friendship, and commitment to family will stay with us forever.
Memorial Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7235) on Sunday, December 28th from 2-4 pm and again from 7-9 pm. Prayers will be held at 7:30 pm.
