Colovic, Ned (Nedeljko)

Heaven welcomed the “Life of the Party” on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the age of 64, with his beloved Erica and Nina Colovic by his side in the comfort of his lovely Walkerville home. Waiting to embrace him with her warm smile and open arms was the love of his life “His Janey” Janey Colovic (2015). Following closely behind were hot fresh cabbage rolls from his loving mother Darinka (2016) and proud father Petar Colovic (1976). He was a treasured brother to Vera and Craig Harries and a supportive uncle to Alexa Harries. Ned will always be remembered during all the Stipic, Keca, Ciganovic, and Petrovic family slavas and gatherings. Ned often said things happen for a reason; serendipity brought Tina Simard into his life, where they shared companionship and love-together making each day count while supporting one another. His angel on earth Lynn Chappell stood by him through this past year’s ups and downs. Ned had many friends but none closer than his “best buds” Danny Gobbo, Bruce Parker, Pete Logan, and Dave Cameron. They loved adventure-a thrilling motorcycle ride, a beer on the patio, or a Red Wings game-but most importantly they cherished each other’s company.

After careers in pharmaceutical sales and teaching at Lowe while insisting he’d never sell life insurance, Ned successfully built two companies: Ned Colovic Insurance and Financial Services along with Windsor Benefit Plans from scratch. His true talent was connecting with people. His charm, knowledge, generosity, trustworthiness, honesty, and million-dollar smile made him well-respected.

The family would appreciate donations to Hospice of Windsor and The Changing Lives Together Foundation at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. Visitation will take place Thursday & Friday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. Prayers are set for Thursday at 7:30 PM. On Saturday at 11:30 AM there will be a Celebration of Life service followed by honoring Ned’s wishes with a Party to Remember at FAMILIES FIRST located at 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor; phone number is 519-969-5841.
