Cory Mitchell, from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 38.
Cory was born on August 11, 1987, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, to Anita Mitchell and the late Kenneth Mitchell. He grew up in the west end of Sault Ste. Marie with wonderful friends and lasting memories. He was deeply loved by Ed Lemieux and his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Throughout his life, Cory was recognized for his humor and engaging conversations as well as his love for the outdoors and history. He worked at Enbridge Gas and proudly served many years as a USR.
Cory took great pride in being a father. He enjoyed all types of music along with spending time with family while fishing and hunting or watching movies. People will remember him for how easily he connected with everyone he met and his talent for sparking interesting discussions.
He is survived by his wife Rachel Mitchell; his son Jaxxon Mitchell; step-son Landon Solomon; along with siblings Dave Mitchell and Shelley Mitchell (Myles) and the late Paul Mitchell.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
