Michael David Frost was born on July 4, 1944, in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, to Herbert and Kathleen (Day) Frost. He passed away on February 7, 2026, leaving behind a life filled with service, dedication, and a profound love for his family.
Mike proudly served in the Canadian military before moving to the United States in the 1960s. Shortly after arriving, he continued his commitment to service by joining the United States Air Force. During the Vietnam War, Mike served his country with honor and bravery-a time in his life that showed his strong sense of duty and resilience.
Mike married Judy Freeze, and together they built a life focused on family. They were blessed with two children, David and Rebecca, whom Mike loved deeply. He took great pride in being a Papa to his cherished grandson, Robby, serving as a steady support for his family-a true rock they could always count on.
A “car guy” at heart, Mike had a lifelong passion for automobiles. He enjoyed fixing them up, learning about them, and sharing that knowledge with others. His enthusiasm led to a career across various areas of the automotive industry including working on a NASCAR team during the 1980s. To family and friends alike, he was the go-to mechanic who was always ready to assist with an oil change or repair. Outside of cars, Mike loved NASCAR racing, classic rock music, and spending time outdoors.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to remember him include his loving wife Judy Frost; son David Frost; daughter Rebecca Frost; grandson Robby Frost; sister Beth White; sisters-in-law Janet Baker and Margie Tappe; nephews Jonathan Tappe and Larry Baker; nieces Kema Vassar and Sheila Powell along with many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mike’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude. org) or the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (regionalfoodbank. org).
