Gordon Alexander ~ Surrounded by his caring family, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 3, 2012, Mr. Gordon Ross Alexander of R. R. 4, Listowel, in his 82nd year.

Dear husband of Robina (Mc Callum) Alexander.

Father to Donald and Sharl Alexander, and Heather Alexander and Tom Pitre, all of Listowel; Ellen and Kevin Scholl, and Laura and Mark Burgers, all of Atwood; and Ruth and Dave Mc Caughan of Waterloo.

Grandfather to Steven and Lisa Scholl, Nicole and Adison Alexander, as well as Cole and Misha Mc Caughan.

He will be remembered by his sisters Dorothy Buchanan of Listowel and Shirley Aitcheson of Stratford; his aunt Olive Shearer of Listowel; along with Robina’s siblings Don and Sue Mc Callum of Toronto; Doreen Mc Callum; Alex and Joe Ann Robertson; Jim and Darlene Robertson, all from Stratford; Gordon Cossey from Tavistock; plus Herta Mc Callum; Anne and Brien White; Marjorie and Bill Wilson; as well as Margaret and Rick Thorn from Alberta.

He was predeceased by his parents Melville and Ruby (Shearer) Alexander, sisters Grace and Margaret who both passed away in infancy, brothers-in-law Elgin Buchanan, Bob Mc Callum, Bill Mc Callum; sister-in-law Jean Cossey; along with granddaughter Tammy Alexander.

Gordon served as an Elder Emeritus at Knox Presbyterian Church. He was a Past Master of the Britton Loyal Orange Lodge #677 as well as a graduate from the University of Guelph with a degree from the OAC program.

You can visit at the Eaton Funeral Home in Listowel on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p. m., then again from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m., which includes an Orange Lodge Service at 8:00 p. m.

The funeral service is set for Knox Presbyterian Church in Listowel on Monday, May 7th at 1:00 p. m., with Reverend Donald Mc Callum leading the service.

Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Listowel.
