We are heartbroken to share that Antoine Laoun passed away quietly on May 22, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, on December 15, 1946, and made his way to Canada in 1967. Antoine earned his degree in civil engineering and an MBA from Mc Gill University before starting a successful career as a business executive. His life exemplified love for family and commitment.
Antoine was a loving husband to Violet, his wife of 52 years, and a caring father to Mark (Leila) and Brent. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Olivia and Margot. He also leaves behind his sister Mireille (Bernard), nephews Jean-Stephane (Marissa), Cedric (Laura), David, along with many friends and relatives.
He is predeceased by his father Joseph (2011), mother Marie (1999), and younger brother Michel (2014). His warmth, generosity, and steadfast love for his family will always be remembered. Instead of flowers, contributions can be made to North Shore Hospice or you might consider raising a glass in honor of Antoine’s remarkable life.
