UPDATE:
A regular drive turned into a significant emergency on Tuesday evening when a two-car accident on Highway 13 involved four people, with two needing airlift to the hospital.
At around 5:10 p. m., emergency services responded to a 911 call about the crash at the intersection of Highway 13 and Road 60. Crews from the Portage Fire Department, RCMP, ambulances from Portage and Carman, as well as STARS air ambulance, all arrived at the scene.
Both cars were heavily damaged, with one ending up in the ditch. Four individuals were part of the incident, and two were flown by STARS for additional medical treatment.
The highway was closed for approximately 30 minutes while emergency personnel managed the situation.
