Halton police arrested two individuals and filed multiple charges following an auto theft investigation in Oakville.
On Monday, officers responded to a residence after the overnight theft of a Toyota Sequoia SUV.
Investigators report that suspects broke a window to access the vehicle, then used a reprogramming tool to start and steal the SUV.
They tracked the suspects to a site in East York, where officers conducted surveillance and identified other stolen vehicles in their possession.
On Wednesday, 23-year-old Thyson Joseph from Quebec was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.
At the time of his arrest, Joseph was already under two separate release orders related to earlier auto theft charges. He was held in custody until his bail hearing in Milton.

Maika Lumumba, also 23 and from Quebec, was arrested and charged on the same day as Joseph.
Lumumba faces one count of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Officers also executed a search warrant at a home in East York where they recovered an Acura sedan stolen from Montreal, an Acura SUV taken from Peel Region along with other stolen items.
