Authorities reported that both individuals sexually abused children, including at least one who resided with them.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man and a woman have been charged with sex offenses related to incidents involving several children.

As per online court documents, 37-year-old Marissa Thomas and her partner, 35-year-old Christopher Stewart, each face charges of statutory sodomy, child molestation, and various other crimes linked to years of alleged misconduct.

This story continues below.

The charging documents indicated that the investigation started when officers went to the couple’s residence on Blue Mountain Drive to carry out a search warrant following a report from the Children’s Division. Upon their arrival, they discovered rodent and animal droppings, exposed insulation, and other concerning conditions.

During the inquiry, officers talked to children living in the home as well as others who visited or interacted with them.

Police stated that a child under 12 revealed Stewart had assaulted her multiple times since January 1, 2024. Another victim under 17 told authorities that Stewart had touched her breasts beneath her clothing and compelled her to sit on his lap while making inappropriate contact.

A child under 12 informed police that they had seen nude selfies of Thomas on their i Pad. Two other kids said this child showed them a pornographic video stored on the device.

One victim who viewed the video mentioned that Thomas had also fondled her breast over her clothing.

A fourth victim disclosed to police that Thomas performed a sexual act on him when he was younger than 17. He noted that another child witnessed this assault and confirmed it when questioned.

Stewart has been charged with

one count of first-degree statutory rape or attempted statutory rape, two counts of statutory sodomy involving a victim under age 14 and two counts of child molestation.

Thomas faces charges including

one count of second-degree statutory sodomy, one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, one count of fourth-degree child molestation and two counts related to providing pornographic material or attempting to provide it to a minor.

Stewart is currently held on a $300,000 bond while Thomas is detained with a bond set at $2 million.

The police believe there may be more victims involved and urge anyone with information or who may have been affected to reach out to the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons at 314-615-5400.
