Shake Shack is branching out beyond Toronto in Ontario, and now Oakville and Burlington are getting their own locations of the popular American burger chain.
This restaurant started in New York City and is famous for its delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, frozen custard, and even beer.
Shake Shack launched its first Canadian location as well as its first spot in Toronto on June 13, 2024, at 10 Dundas St. E. Since then, the brand has been expanding quickly throughout Toronto.
Currently, Shake Shack has locations open in Toronto at Union Station, Yorkdale, Yonge and Dundas, Yonge and Eglinton, Yonge and Bloor, Square One, and Vaughan Mills. There’s also a Kitchen Hub satellite location in the Castlefield area.
In 2026, Shake Shack opened new outlets on King Street West and Yonge Street in Toronto along with several locations in Calgary.
For 2027, Shake Shack Canada plans to open a restaurant in London, Ontario which will be the first one in the province to include a drive-thru.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to our new Oakville and Burlington locations and serving them with the exceptional quality, hospitality and energy that makes the Shake Shack experience so special,” said Billy Richmond, Business Director of Shake Shack Canada. “Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re excited for Shake Shack to become a part of the Oakville and Burlington communities.”
The Oakville location (275 Hays Blvd.) will open on Nov. 18 followed by Burlington (4511 Dundas St.) on Dec. 4.
