The Winnipeg Jets are excited to bring game day fun closer to rural supporters with the return of the Jets Town Takeover on March 19, 2026. This day-long event will feature community activities, prizes, and a free watch party for the game between the Jets and the Boston Bruins.
Past winners of the Jets Town Takeover include Oakville (2023), Stonewall (2022), and Morris (2019).
<p Fans can participate by sending in a short video explaining why their town should be chosen. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Nov. 24, 2025.
Once submissions are closed, three communities will be selected as finalists, and a public vote will decide which town wins.
You can find all contest details and submission guidelines at winnipegjets. com/jetstowntakeover.
The day’s activities will involve local schools and youth hockey players, featuring Project 11, a mental wellness initiative designed to support young people. Participants will enjoy a pizza lunch, and team mascot Mick E. Moose will make an appearance. Youth players will also have the chance to join an on-ice session with Winnipeg Jets Alumni & Friends, adding something special to their experience.
The festivities will conclude with a free watch party suitable for all ages to cheer on the Winnipeg Jets against the Boston Bruins.
This event promises a full gameday experience complete with prizes, fan activities, and chances for everyone in the community to come together over hockey.
