Halton police are seeking assistance from the public regarding a shooting incident in Oakville’s Joshua Creek area.

On Friday, officers arrived at a residence around 7:30 a. m. after receiving reports of gunfire near Prince Michael Drive and Taylorwood Drive.

Upon investigation, officers found that several shots had been fired into the home, which was occupied during the incident.

Detectives have confirmed that there were no physical injuries reported.

Authorities noted that a dark-colored SUV was spotted in the vicinity at that time.

This is believed to be a targeted shooting, and officials stated there is no ongoing threat to community safety.

Investigators are urging anyone with information about this case or anyone who may have security or dash cam footage from Prince Michael Drive and Taylorwood Drive between 7:00 a. m. and 7:45 a. m. to reach out to them at 905-825-4777 extension 2216.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Halton Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or through their website.
