Halton Regional Police report that a man from Brampton has been arrested and charged following a daytime shooting in Oakville that officials believe was intentional.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking into a shooting that occurred earlier this week in Oakville.
On Friday, March 27, at 12:05 p. m., a suspect, driving a vehicle, fired several shots at another vehicle that was behind him on Progress Court, close to the South Service Road.
No one was hit or injured during the incident, and the suspect’s vehicle sped away eastbound on the South Service Road towards Fourth Line. Authorities think this shooting was targeted.
After a thorough investigation, police have arrested and charged Justin Tasevski (29 years old) from Brampton with:
Two counts of Attempted Murder
Two counts of Discharging a Firearm with Intent
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Fail to Comply with Release Order
Tasevski has been taken into custody and appeared in court on March 29; he has been remanded to return on April 1 in Milton.
Investigators believe this shooting was targeted and are not looking for any other suspects.
However, police have yet to find the weapon used in this case and are asking anyone with information about the investigation or anyone who may have seen the incident to reach out to the Major Crime Bureau tip line at 905-825-4777 ext. 4776.
