Shooting Incident on Highway 401 in Mississauga

Shooting Incident on Highway 401 in Mississauga

Provincial police report that one individual sustained minor injuries during a shooting on Highway 401 in Mississauga Friday morning.

The OPP received notifications of gunfire at approximately 12:20 a. m. on the highway close to Mavis Road.

Officials state that one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after being struck by debris from a shattered window.

The investigation is still underway.

CHCH News has contacted provincial police for insights regarding what led to the shooting but hasn’t received a response yet.

If anyone has information or dashcam footage, they are encouraged to reach out to OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
