One of Mississauga’s most anticipated summer food festivals is making its return this July, featuring award-winning ribbers, a variety of food options, live entertainment, and an aim to support local charities.
The Mississauga Rotary Ribfest will take place at Erin Mills Town Centre from July 10 to 12, offering three days filled with delicious barbecue, family activities, and community camaraderie.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Mississauga and Rotary Club of Mississauga West, the annual festival will showcase seven ribbers serving ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, sausages, and other barbecue delights for eager attendees.
This year’s lineup features Gator BBQ, Sticky Fingers BBQ & Company, Billy Bones BBQ, Camp 31, Uncle Sam’s BBQ Stand, Crabby’s BBQ Shack and Hawgs BBQ Gone Wild.
In addition to the barbecue favorites, visitors can explore a wide range of other food and drink options like Rei do Churrasco, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Drink from a Fruit, Heavenly Dreams Ice Cream, Holy Batter Italian Ice Cream, Alabama Lemonade, B& D Fries, Ontario Corn Roaster, Pappy’s Soda, Bloomin Onion, Jusdan Food Mini Donut , Spanish Desserts Churros and CJ’s Concession Funnel Cake.
Beyond the tasty offerings , Ribfest will feature live music and entertainment throughout the weekend , creating a welcoming atmosphere for families and people of all ages.
The festival will be held on Friday , July 10 , and Saturday , July 11 , from 11 a. m. to 11 p. m. , with Sunday running from 11 a. m. to 7 p. m. at Erin Mills Town Centre located at 5100 Erin Mills Pkwy. in Mississauga.
Admission is $3 per person , cash only , while kids aged five and under can get in free. The last entry each day will be accepted 30 minutes before closing time. Service animals with proper documentation are allowed but pets are not permitted inside the event.
While Ribfest has earned its reputation as a must-see spot for barbecue fans , organizers emphasize that there is much more to this event than just ribs.
The festival is entirely volunteer-run and organized by the Rotary clubs as a non-profit initiative aimed at raising funds for important community projects. All money collected through admissions , sponsorships , and donations goes back into supporting local causes.
A significant beneficiary is the Trillium Health Partners Foundation which helps provide cutting-edge medical equipment for the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. Funds also contribute to youth programs , scholarships , food banks , shelters , and international humanitarian efforts.
Since it started out over $2.1 million has been raised by the Mississauga Rotary Ribfest for various charitable initiatives with an average yearly contribution of about $100.000.
