Traffic is heavily congested on northbound Highway 410 in Mississauga following a three-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon, say authorities.
Ontario Provincial Police reported that the incident involving three passenger cars has led to several lane closures on the busy highway heading towards Highway 407, with just one right lane still open for northbound vehicles.
Injuries were being evaluated after the crash took place around 3:30 p. m., according to officials.
Emergency teams are still present at the scene.
The cause of the collision hasn’t been specified by police.
OPP advised drivers to stay alert for traffic delays in the vicinity and consider alternative routes.
