A person has lost their life due to severe thunderstorms that impacted various regions of Ontario on May 18 and 19, as reported by Environment and Climate Change Canada.

The agency mentioned that this weather system brought high temperatures followed by destructive thunderstorms, leading to power outages, fallen trees, and injuries in some locations.

The report noted that the tragic incident took place near Huntsville during intense thunderstorm activity on May 18, which caused considerable tree damage and knocked down power lines in affected communities.
