London police have charged a local massage therapist with sexual assault, and they think there might be more victims who haven’t come forward yet.
The first report came in on July 30 from someone who claimed she was sexually assaulted during a treatment session the day before. Following an investigation, officers arrested 47-year-old Christian Javier Gutierrez later that same day.
Since then, two more individuals have reported incidents, leading to three additional charges of sexual assault against Gutierrez.
Gutierrez turned himself in to police on Monday, appeared in court in London on Wednesday, and has been released with a scheduled court date later in August regarding the charges.
He runs a massage therapy business downtown, according to police, and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario has been informed.
Investigators believe there could be other victims who have not yet come forward.
