Kitchener police had quite a night catching two drivers they believe were impaired.

Officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service were monitoring Fairway Road South around 10:30 Wednesday night when they noticed a vehicle driving erratically.

The car was swerving between lanes and nearly collided with another vehicle.

They pulled the car into a parking lot, where they arrested the 42-year-old man from Kitchener on charges of impaired driving and dangerous operation.

While making that arrest, officers saw another vehicle in the parking lot that appeared to be stuck.

When one officer went over to assist, they realized that the driver of this second vehicle also seemed to be impaired.

This 25-year-old man from Kitchener was arrested as well and faced the same charges as the first driver.
