Three Arrested in Drug Trafficking Case

Three Arrested in Drug Trafficking Case

A news release states that the investigation started in April, linking the Frontenac, Lennox & Addington County, and Kingston areas.

On May 13, officers stopped a vehicle in Napanee as part of their ongoing inquiry. They found over 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine and around $3,000 in Canadian cash.

This led to the arrest of 41-year-old Lindsay Patterson from South Frontenac Township on charges of:

Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine. Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5,000. Fail to comply with probation order. Breach of recognizance.

The next day, OPP East Region CSCU executed a search warrant at a home in Whitby with assistance from the Durham Regional Police Tactical Unit.

During this operation, officers confiscated:

Two firearms loaded with ammunition. A stolen Ford F-150. Over 2,000 grams of suspected cocaine. Approximately 4,200 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Over 715 grams of MDMA. Suspected psilocybin, fentanyl and heroin. Almost $14,000 in Canadian currency. Cellphones. Digital scales. Other items related to drug trafficking.

As a result of this investigation, both 34-year-old Tullaram Naraine and 33-year-old Lisa Seetaram from Whitby were arrested and charged with:

Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes – two counts. Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm – two counts. Knowledge of an unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm. Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition – two counts. Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition – two counts. Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition – two counts. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – MDMA. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – heroin. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other. Possessionof aschedule IIIsubstancefor thepurposeoftrafficking- psilocybin. Possessionof proceedsof propertyobtained bycrime , over$5 ,000. Possessionof propertyobtained bycrime , over$5 ,000.

Naraine faced additional charges including:

Possessionof firearmor ammunition contrary to prohibitionorder- twocounts. Traffick inschedule Isubstance- methamphetamine.

The three individuals remain in custody pending bail hearings.
