One driver has died and another is hospitalized with serious injuries after a collision between two SUVs in Kingston, Ont., on Tuesday morning.
According to Kingston Police, the vehicles were moving in opposite directions on Battersea Road, located between Aragon Road and Downsview Drive, when the accident happened around 8:30 a. m.
Emergency services pronounced the 37-year-old driver of one SUV dead at the scene. The other driver, aged 40, was transported to the hospital where they’re being treated for “serious life-threatening injuries,” police stated on Wednesday.
Two passengers from the deceased driver’s vehicle were taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and police are seeking information from the driver of a small black hatchback that was near the scene at that time.
They’re also urging anyone who might have useful information or video footage to come forward.
