Multiple firefighting units were sent to the New Horizons Thrift Store building on Hamilton’s James Street North for a multiple-alarm fire on Aug. 6, 2026. Several firefighting crews were called to the permanently shut New Horizons Thrift Store at 520 James St. North. Witnesses reported seeing a significant blaze on James Street North.
