A motorcyclist has died following a collision with an SUV in Hamilton on Thursday evening.
Emergency services arrived at the scene of the crash on Highway 6 and Book Road East shortly after 6 p. m., according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
The rider, a 64-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital where he later passed away from his injuries, police reported.
Highway 6 was shut down in both directions between Highway 403 and Airport Road West, and Book Road East was closed from Fiddlers Green Road to Southcote Road for the investigation.
