A Brampton immigration services company has been hit with a $20,000 fine after providing incorrect information on an application.

According to Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, this violation occurred in 2023 when Grayfeather Immigration Inc., based in Brampton, was assisting an applicant with the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The application featured employment details that the OINP could not verify, which led to its rejection and a subsequent investigation.

The province stated that the application had “falsely represented employment information,” and also did not reveal the use of an authorized representative as required by the program.

Grayfeather admitted guilt to breaching the Ontario Immigration Act in February and received a $20,000 fine from the ministry.

The court additionally imposed a 25 percent victim fine surcharge as mandated by the Provincial Offences Act, which goes into a special provincial government fund aimed at helping crime victims.
