Residents should take precautions to secure their homes. Here are some tips from the police:

Keep shrubs and hedges around your property trimmed to ensure clear visibility to all
accessible windows and doors. Make sure garage and screen doors are locked even when you’re at home. Foster relationships with your neighbors so you can keep an eye on each other’s properties. Think about adding an extra locking mechanism for windows and sliding doors. INsauga’s Editorial Standards and Policies
