The off-ramps for both southbound and northbound Highway 400 at Dunlop will be closed as work continues on the new Dunlop Street bridge.

NEWS RELEASE
CITY OF BARRIE
***********************
The contractor hired by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for the Dunlop Street bridge replacement project will close Dunlop Street West from Cedar Pointe Drive to Hart Drive overnight for three nights starting Tuesday, May 5.

These closures will occur from 10 p. m. to 5 a. m. to facilitate construction activities.

In addition, the off-ramps for both southbound and northbound Highway 400 at Dunlop will also be shut down during this time.

Detour routes will guide traffic via Anne Street, Edgehill Drive, Ferndale Drive, and Tiffin Street. Drivers should plan accordingly and pay attention to the posted signs.

This construction is part of an ongoing project by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to improve Highway 400, which includes building a new, larger bridge at Dunlop Street over Highway 400 and widening the interchange to accommodate future expansions of Highway 400.

For further details and updates about this project, check out barrie. ca/roadwork.
