A train hit a pedestrian in Markham on Wednesday morning, as reported by York Regional Police.
Officers arrived at the intersection of Euclid and Eureka streets around 8:42 a. m. after receiving calls about the incident involving a pedestrian.
The individual was found, assessed, and treated on-site but unfortunately had no vital signs, according to York Paramedics.
Go Transit announced online that GO train service has been suspended along part of the Stouffville Line due to this event.

Currently, police have stated there are no road closures in the area, but residents should expect a significant emergency response presence while investigations are ongoing.
