Deborah Foreman, affectionately called Debbie, was born on April 2, 1959, in Blind River, Ontario. She passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 4, 2026, in Sault Ste. Marie after battling a long illness. She lived a life filled with grace and music, and her memory will shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Debbie’s life was infused with love, wisdom, and creativity that she shared in every moment. Her spiritual outlook brought a gentle warmth that touched others profoundly. A student at Algoma University, she gained recognition not just for her talents but also for the quiet strength and beauty of her spirit. As a long-retired cellist with the Sault Symphony Orchestra and an exceptional pianist, her music often conveyed emotions words couldn’t express. Each note she played resonated with tenderness and depth from a soul that truly knew how to sing.

Debbie found happiness through art that allowed her heart to speak. She had a deep passion for playing piano and cello. Composing music, singing, writing poetry, drawing, and painting were among her joys. Her creativity wasn’t just a fleeting spark; it was a steady flame that brightened every space she entered and touched many lives along the way. She also loved nurturing her garden of plants and caring for her beloved cat Kaleidascope-these living companions reflected the nurturing nature she embodied so effortlessly. Whether through melody or brushstroke or kind gestures towards those she cared about, Debbie made beauty bloom everywhere.

She was preceded in death by her father Allen Zubko but is survived by her mother Audrey Zubko. She leaves behind the love of her life-her husband Fred Foreman-whose companionship enriched their journey together. She is also fondly remembered by her Angels: Ellysha (Charlie), Laurence (Emily), Sarah Foreman; granddaughter Chelsey Steeves (Thor); along with siblings Alana Cawston (Blake), Chris Zubko and dear brother Terry.

Debbie’s life was like a beautiful song; though the last note has softly played out, the music continues to echo on. She approached everything with love; listened wisely; expressed herself creatively across various outlets of art. With each step in this world came rhythm that brought harmony to those around her. Beyond memories lies a legacy of kindness and devotion-a lasting impact within the hearts of friends and family.

Now may she rest peacefully where pain no longer exists and where her spirit can soar freely among melodies unbound by earthly ties. Though she’s left this stage behind us, the songs she’s inspired will never fade-in each heart she’s touched; in every tune we recall; in every loving thought speaking her name aloud. Debbie will always be missed deeply yet forever cherished as we hold onto our precious memories of her.

A private family service took place according to Debbie’s wishes.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Father Peter Nwachukwu as well as immense gratitude towards the P. A. C. T team, SAH dialysis unit, C. M. H. A., Trystin D. O. C., along with staff at Windsor Place Retirement Home for their exceptional care throughout this journey-we’ll always remember you all.

If you’d like to honor Debbie’s memory instead of sending flowers please consider donating to Sault Area Hospital Foundation Renal Care Fund or C. M. H. A., either via cheque or online donation options available through charity sites.

Please visit www. osullivanfuneralhome. com to share condolences with the family during this time of remembrance. Arrangements are entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St., Sault Ste. Marie ON P6A 1P7 ,705-759-8456).
