Sharon O’Hara, 57, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was born on April 8, 1969, in Montreal, Quebec. Sharon’s life was filled with dedication to her career, love for her family and friends, and a sense of adventure.

Sharon had a successful career in human resources, reaching the position of Vice President and HR Director at GIS Canada. Throughout her career, she also worked with Walmart, Gold Corp, and Soft Choice. Her journey in the professional world showed her commitment to excellence and her ability to lead with skill and kindness.

Apart from her work achievements, Sharon had many interests. She loved art and culture and was a talented artist and crafter. Her creativity was evident in everything she created. Sharon enjoyed taking nature walks and loved spending time with her dogs, Buddy and George. She also had a special affection for seagulls and appreciated the simple joys of life.

Family meant everything to Sharon. She is survived by her brothers Thomas O’Hara and John O’Hara; sister-in-law Carolyn Sola; nephews Mathew Sola, Michael Sola, Maxamus O’Hara; nieces Mia Sola, Megan Sola, Mary O’Hara; and Molly O’Hara (her namesake). Sadly, she was predeceased by her parents Thomas Stephen O’Hara and Mary Patricia Sheila O’Hara.

Sharon’s adventurous spirit and capable nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by family members, friends, colleagues, and all those lucky enough to have known her vibrant life.

May Sharon’s love for art, family, nature, and adventure provide comfort to those grieving her loss.
