On May 15, Castellano appeared before the Napanee Ontario Court of Justice at 41 Dundas St. W. for a plea hearing where he admitted guilt on two counts of sexual assault, one count of sharing an intimate image without consent, and one count of failing to appear in court.

The judge overseeing this case was Perth-based Justice David Rose instead of local judge Geoffrey Griffin. This decision was made due to concerns about potential conflict since Castellano had previously practiced law in that area. Assistant Crown attorney Claudette Breault prosecuted while defense attorney Alan Brass represented Castellano.

The hearing disclosed that three different complainants were involved with allegations extending from 2021 through 2025.

Castellano appeared in custody wearing red gym shorts and a dark T-shirt without showing any visible emotion during proceedings.

Before accepting his pleas, Justice Rose asked Castellano many questions ensuring he understood what pleading guilty meant for his future-this includes possible consequences for employment opportunities, immigration status issues, international travel complications, volunteer work chances as well as implications for his legal career.

The judge specifically pointed out how being a former member of Law Society could negatively impact Castellano’s ability continue practicing law based on these convictions.

Crown attorney Breault summarized agreed facts regarding allegations involving three complainants dating back starting in early twenty-one until mid-twenty-five.

First complainant

The first conviction for sexual assault relates back towards events surrounding a woman who police claim met Castellano via Sugar Daddy Meet. com during spring twenty-four.

The facts presented showed this individual traveled frequently visiting Castellano’s waterfront cottage located Hughes Landing Road Addington Highlands over several weeks engaging together dining drinking wine boating while also consenting sexual activity occurring between them.

Court heard details around June fifteenth when complainant returned once more arriving approximately seven o’clock PM after having dinner along with several glasses wine only later feeling “wobbly” around two AM before heading off sleep.
