Hamilton police are back at a central Hamilton home for a second day on Thursday, looking into the case of missing Emily Bailey.
The young mother of two has not been seen for over four years, and authorities believe there may be foul play involved.
It’s crucial to mention that no charges have been filed and no suspects have been named in this situation, including those living at the Stinson Street location currently being searched.
Police vehicles were stationed outside a duplex at the intersection of Stinson and Wellington streets again on Thursday morning as they continued their investigation.
Investigators revealed on Wednesday that they received new information pointing them to this address, four and a half years after Emily Bailey went missing.

The 23-year-old mother last appeared publicly on New Year’s Day in 2022.
The homicide unit took over her case in March of that same year due to suspicions of foul play, although they haven’t identified any suspects yet.
A man who spoke with CHCH News identified himself as the tenant residing at the Stinson Street property; he claims to be Jeff Johnson’s brother-Emily’s boyfriend and the last person reported to see her.
This tenant, Dean, preferred not to appear on camera or make an official statement right now but mentioned he’s cooperating with police. He expressed hope that they will find Bailey but believes nothing will be found at his residence. He feels both he and his brother have faced unfair scrutiny.
Jeff Johnson, aged 38, is currently serving time for breaking and entering as well as theft and is expected to be released in July.

Authorities previously searched the home shared by him and Bailey located on Weir Street back in July 2022.
The K9 unit, forensic experts dressed in hazmat suits, along with Ontario Provincial Police’s Urban Search and Rescue Team were all present at the scene on Thursday.
The day prior, two large storage containers had been brought onto the driveway. On Thursday morning officers appeared to be moving items from these containers back inside the house.
A number of individuals visited throughout the day; many have followed this case closely for years and hope that the family can finally achieve some closure.
Once more, police haven’t named any suspects but indicated they would continue searching the home for several days ahead.
