Severe thunderstorm warning – issued for: Vaughan – Richmond Hill – Markham, Ont. (043240) Current details:
As of 5:06 p. m. EDT, meteorologists from Environment Canada are monitoring a severe thunderstorm that could produce heavy rainfall. This storm is located near Maple and is moving southeast at 10 km/h. Hazard:
Heavy rain with local totals of 50 to 75 mm Areas affected include:
Richmond Hill, Kleinburg, Maple, King Creek, Laskay and Purpleville. Intense rain may lead to flash flooding and greatly reduced visibility. If a thunderstorm approaches, take cover right away. If you’re outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Avoid driving through flooded roads.
