KAVANAUGH- Leonard Patrick
With heavy hearts, the children of Leonard Patrick Kavanaugh share the news of his peaceful passing on August 28, 2021, just four months after losing their dear Mother and his loving wife, Kathryn “Lynne”.
He was a loving and devoted Father to Bryan and Kate (Monforton), Kelly and Kevin, and Dorothy (Rabideau). As a Grandfather, he was “loved, worshipped, admired and adored” by Avery Lynne, Megan Elizabeth, Lukan Patrick, Koen Macy, and Raemyn Simone.
Len is survived by his brothers Don and Ken, sisters-in-law Mary Catherine, Patti Ann, Joan, Pat and Judy as well as brothers-in-law Bob, Tim and Gary.
He was also a caring uncle and great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews along with their spouses and children.
Len shared many happy years of marriage with Lynne before her passing in April. Those who knew them recognized that their family brought them immense joy. They truly valued the time spent together creating wonderful memories with their beloved children and grandchildren.
Len dedicated his life to both his family and an extensive career as a labor lawyer in the community. He passionately advocated for his clients’ interests with unwavering commitment. Serving his clients each day brought him great satisfaction; his love for the law never waned. He relished engaging in legal debates and took pride in the law firm he built alongside supportive colleagues.
A true gentleman with strong principles, intellect, and integrity-Len left a lasting impact on everyone around him. His endless jokes, stories, sayings, and expressions will remain alive in our hearts along with the sound of his hearty laughter; we’ll carry them on in honor of him. We are proud to have been part of his family. He will be greatly missed by family members, friends, and colleagues alike. While we grieve for him deeply now, there is comfort knowing he has reunited with our Mother-the love of his life-whom he couldn’t bear to be without.
