Lucio Sagasta OBITUARY
Lucio Sagasta I Lucio Sagasta I, 91, of Ontario, passed away on August 26, 2016, surrounded by his devoted wife of 62 years and his children. Born in Ontario CA, he spent all 62 years of his life there. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1947. For 25 years, he worked as a cement mason and was recognized for his attention to detail in his craft. He retired in 1985. During retirement, he loved spending time in his backyard caring for his fruit trees and plants while tinkering in his outdoor office. Family gatherings were special times for him, filled with joy alongside his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his lovely bride and would serenade her every day. Reading the bible brought him peace; he also loved singing praise and worship songs and doing his “homework (crossword puzzles).” He is preceded in death by his son Marco Sagasta. Surviving are his wife Lucia Sagasta of Ontario, along with their children Irene (Jimmy) Espinoza of Upland, Lucio Sagasta II of Ontario, Gloria (Michael) Rizo of Rialto, Norma (Paul) Diaz of Ontario, Amado (Maricela) Sagasta of Ontario, Diana (Raymond) Martinez of Ontario, Laura (Moses) Jimenez of Ontario, Adrian (Teresa) Sagasta of Colorado Springs CO, Sofia (Richard) Gonzalez of Fontana, Adam (Cathy) Sagasta of Huntington Beach, Sonia (David) Guillory of Upland, Lucia (John) Chavez of Chino, Isaac (Lisa) Sagasta of Riverside, Caesar (Geraldine) Sagasta of Rialto; along with their 49 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. His infectious laughter and joyful spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His family finds comfort knowing that he led a rich life full of love and happiness. Services will be held at Draper Mortuary in Ontario at 1pm on Friday September 2, 2016 followed by a burial ceremony at Bellevue Memorial Cemetery in Ontario.
