Ontario Fire Rangers Battling Blaze East of Barry’s Bay Near Renfrew

ONTARIO – Ontario Fire Rangers are tackling a wildland fire, Haliburton 2, which spans 4.2 hectares.

Officials report that this fire is located on the east side of Highway 41, roughly 0.4 kilometres south of Grattan Road.

People living nearby and those driving along Highway 41 may see smoke. Ontario Fire Rangers are on site with local municipal firefighters, so please avoid the area.

The fire started on May 3 and is currently classified as “under control”.
