A life-sized child doll, classified as child sexual abuse material, was discovered in a package at an Ontario airport.

The Canada Border Services Agency reported that officers intercepted the parcel on Jan. 23 at Hamilton International Airport. It was sent from China and was meant for a person living in Kingston, Ontario, according to the agency.

Officers concluded that the parcel “contained a life-sized doll categorized as child sexual abuse and exploitation material,” the CBSA stated in a press release today.

The CBSA mentioned they contacted the Kingston Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit for further investigation.

On Feb. 3, authorities arrested a 57-year-old man from Kingston at his home near Barnsley Crescent and Acadia Drive, as stated by the CBSA.

The suspect was taken to Kingston Police Headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

The man faces charges including possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, importing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and failing to comply with a long-term supervision order.

This individual was already under a long-term supervision order due to past convictions related to child sexual offenses, the CBSA noted.

The investigation is ongoing, and there may be more charges filed later, added the CBSA.
