Provincial police are looking into a “suspicious” fire that broke out at a motel in Wasaga Beach.

Just before midnight on Monday, emergency teams were called to the Villa Nova Motel located on Mosley Street after reports of a fire.

When they arrived, crews found a “fully involved” structure fire, mostly affecting the second floor, according to Huronia West OPP.

All occupants managed to escape safely and there were no reported injuries.

The building has been deemed “uninhabitable,” stated the OPP in a news release.

If you have any information, please contact OPP at 1‑888‑310‑1122 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1‑800‑222‑8477 or crimestopperssdm. com.
