Kingston police are still looking for suspects after two pedestrians were hurt by pellets shot from an airsoft rifle on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said they began investigating two separate incidents involving a firearm early Tuesday afternoon: the first happened at Russell and Patrick streets, while the second took place on Palace Road near Park Street.
“The incidents involve a black vehicle, possibly a Ford, with four passengers. In both cases, people sitting in the back of the vehicle were seen firing a long gun style air rifle at pedestrians,” police mentioned in an alert posted on their website.

Anthony Colangeli. Then, just five minutes later, another person was struck multiple times but didn’t require hospitalization. Story continues below “[Airsoft rifles] can be quite powerful and shoot over 300 feet per second and they can cause permanent injuries, especially if you’re hit in the eye or facial area with one of them,” Colangeli explained. Cops are urging residents to stay alert about these incidents and report any suspicious activity. If anyone spots the suspect vehicle, they should call 911.
