Gord passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the age of 74.

Gord was born in England and moved to Canada with his family in 1956. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest happiness in spending time with his grandchildren. Gord enjoyed 53 wonderful years of marriage with his dear wife, Lea-Anne. He was a proud father to Courtney (Ryan) and Ryan and treasured every moment with his grandchildren, Caden, Trent, and Blayke. Gord is also survived by his sister Chris (Frank) and was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Mary Williamson.

Gord spent over 30 years working with the Durham District School Board, where he committed himself to coaching and mentoring young athletes. He spent many years coaching volleyball at both Seneca College and Durham College. In recognition of his efforts in the sport, he received honors such as induction into the OCAA Hall of Fame and the CCAA Coaching Excellence Award.

Gord had a lifelong passion for sports and nature. He loved playing baseball, hockey, golf, and especially enjoyed fishing on Lake Temagami with his father, son, and friends.

Gord will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and deep affection for his family-especially his grandchildren. He took great pride in sharing moments with those he loved and cherished all their time together. Always eager to teach and share what he knew with others around him. Gord’s kindness, wisdom, and love for family will be remembered by everyone who knew him.

Arrangements entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home in Port Perry. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
