Lillian Luella George, a source of warmth and joy, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 9, 1935, in Windsor, Ontario, to William and Cecile Kelly. Her life was filled with kindness and happiness that will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
Lillian was a loving wife to Kenneth George for 39 wonderful years. Together, they enjoyed a life full of love, laughter, and adventure as best friends and partners. They raised four wonderful children: Mark, Judy (Will), Chris (2006), and Greg (Bryan), who were the heart of Lillian’s universe. Her caring nature and strong support made her the matriarch of their family.
Lillian took great joy in her grandchild Jamie (Trinity) and her dear great-grandchildren Jaylin and Jazmyn; they were constant reminders of what she cherished most.
Her lively personality showed in all her interests. Whether it was dancing or enjoying music or tending to plants in nature, Lillian had an infectious love for life. She loved crafting beautiful items with her hands and often shared these creations with those she cared about. As a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, she valued the friendships she formed there and the sense of community they built together.
With strong faith guiding her life, Lillian was always selfless and positive; she had this incredible ability to light up any room. She enjoyed socializing just as much as listening to others’ stories and offering support when needed. A true pillar of strength with a warm heart, her sense of humor won over many.
The celebration of Lillian’s life will take place on April 27, 2026 at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Location (11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, ON) starting with visitation from 10 am until the Funeral Service at 11 am where family and friends will come together to honor her legacy and share in the love she generously gave. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Hospice of Windsor since it held a special place in Lillian’s heart.
As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we cherish memories filled with laughter, kindness, and endless love from Lillian Luella George. Though she’s left this world behind us now, her spirit will continue shining brightly in our lives.
