We are deeply saddened to share that Annette Blanche Durham of Melville has passed away. Annette bravely faced many challenges throughout her life, but this last struggle proved too much. She peacefully entered her eternal rest on Monday, January 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. Her strength and calm demeanor were truly inspiring.
Annette was born on July 17, 1935, to Helen and Wilfred Tremblay in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. She had an older sister named Adeline and later welcomed her younger sister Lauraine into the family.
She attended school in Renaud, Saskatchewan, and left home after completing grade 8. After moving to Saskatoon, she began working at Safeway where she met Tom. On September 8, 1958, Annette married Thomas Durham in Renaud, Saskatchewan.
For many years, Annette dedicated herself to raising their six children at home. Once they settled in Melville, she took a job as a librarian at St. Henry’s Junior High School. Additionally, she started a business selling silk plants for Totally Tropical during home parties.
A loving wife and mother with a strong faith, Annette was actively involved in her church community at St. Henry’s. As a member of the CWL and serving as a sacristan and communion minister among other roles, her warm smile and hugs were well-known among friends.
